Our Story
How it all began
Our Director, Dave Tavner, began a kitchen fitting apprenticeship at the age of 16, after finishing school early. Due to his un-diagnosed dyslexia, Dave was told by his teachers that he would never be successful in life, but he was determined to prove them wrong.
Dave worked hard to learn the trade and improved his skill until he set up a installations company at 22 years old. Due to the quality of his workmanship, customers quickly built trust and began asking Dave if he would also supply kitchens, this was that light bulb moment!
Dave started Trademark back in 2007 as he knew that he could provide a quality service, using his knowledge and experience. The first showrooms were in Royston and Foxton which allowed Dave to showcase the excellent quality of the Kitchens and Bathrooms Trademark provides.
The team began to grow, alongside the projects yet Dave never lost sight of the importance of customer service and ensured that his team understood this standard. The Trademark Team adopt this mindset and are all extremely talented individuals, with the same passion for the industry.
Plans for the future
In 2018, Dave decided that he wanted to immerse the business in the local community so took the leap to move the showroom to Royston high street. In doing so, the team has become a further presence in the community by supporting local charity, events which made us finalists for the KBB Community Champion of the year awards!
Looking to the future, Dave is always looking at ways to elevate the customer experience using new technology and trends. We have recently added a VR station in the showroom and we can't wait to see what is next for Trademark.
